Learning by Doing for a Regenerative Future
From clay-stained hands to glitter-filled nights, the Hands to Earth Youth Exchange brought together young explorers from six European countries for two weeks of creativity, connection, and community life at Catfarm.
This project blended sustainability and self-expression in the most Catfarm way possible — through workshops on permaculture, herbalism, natural building, and regenerative design, interwoven with sessions on non-violent communication, theater, and art.
Each day was a new adventure: co-creating with the land, dancing under the stars, and learning that regeneration is as much about freedom and diversity as it is about soil and seeds.
Highlights included a field trip to Moulin de Juffet, where participants discovered the power of regenerative farming and heritage grains with Bruno Garcia from La Forêt Globale. Back home at Catfarm, we celebrated expression and inclusion with an unforgettable Drag Show, proving that regeneration also means liberation — for every body, every identity, every heart.
Cultural nights, collective meals, open-mic sessions, and spontaneous joy turned this exchange into a vibrant microcosm of the world we wish to create: playful, conscious, and united in diversity.

Hands to Earth reminded us that sustainability is not only about what we build — it’s about how we live, love, and grow together.
