REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

Restoring the land to nourish life in all its forms

Regeneration is one of Catfarm’s core values — and that begins with regenerating the land itself. Our goal is to create abundant ecosystems capable of nourishing both people and the many other beings we share this space with. We see the role of the farmer not only as a food producer but as a guardian of resilient and thriving agroecosystems.

Every year, we dedicate energy to enriching the soil and biodiversity: planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals to build a living mosaic of life. Across our 3.5 hectares of land, we practice syntropic agroforestry — a system based on dense planting, successional growth, and layered canopies that mimic the natural forest.

So far, our gardens have focused on increasing biodiversity, fostering resilience, and creating beautiful spaces for learning and experimentation. In the coming seasons, we aim to refine this work into productive and replicable models that inspire and support more conventional farmers in transitioning toward regenerative systems.

Catfarm is part of a growing network of Mediterranean farmers and European partners — including organizations such as Ecolise and other research institutes — who are adapting syntropic agroforestry methods to local conditions. Together, we envision a collective transformation of the landscape: from industrial monocultures and desertification to abundant forests that provide for all beings.

Through shared knowledge and community effort, we are sowing the seeds of regeneration — one tree, one season, and one connection at a time.
